Year 8 Canberra Trip

Year 8 students will take part in a five day excursion to Canberra, Australia’s National Capital. This is a compulsory excursion that forms the basis of the study of Civics and Citizenship as part of the Humanities Learning Area in the Victorian Curriculum. Students in 8E – 8H will be on camp from Monday May 7 to Friday May 11, 2018. Classes 8A – 8D will travel during the week of Monday August 27 to Friday August 31, 2018.

Students and staff will visit many varied sites in the National Capital and will be provided with a very stimulating educational and cultural program – an opportunity that every child should experience. Some of the sites they will be visiting are The Australian War Memorial, Parliament House, The National Museum of Australia, Questacon, Australian Institute of Sport, and the National Deep Space Centre.
