2018 Music Camp

15 April 2018

The College will once again be offering its three-day residential music camp for students involved in the Instrumental, Ensemble and Classroom Music programs.

This year’s camp will be held from Sunday April 15th- Tuesday April 17th 2018.  Upon returning from the camp there will be a concert held on the Tuesday evening at the college showcasing repertoire that the student’s and the college ensemble’s rehearsed whilst away.

In the past, this camp has been extremely beneficial to the development of all students, regardless of their ability or standard. The aim of the camp is to provide an environment where our young musicians can cohere in their ensembles, build their skills, celebrate their talent and work intensively to build a solid foundation from which to work for the busy year ahead.

This year, aside from daily ensemble rehearsals, student will also participate in a variety of other activities on the camp including; a guided meditation session, Latin percussion workshop, choral workshops, high ropes courses, ice-breaker activities run by Edmund Rice Camp staff and various performance workshops run by special guests.

Myself and some of the College's music staff will be involved with ensemble rehearsals and activities over the three days and these teachers, together with additional support staff from the College, will be with the students throughout the duration of the camp.

While music camp is a focused environment where students can refine the instrumental and ensemble skills, the camp is also a great way for students to make new friends and build positive relationships with each other.

The cost of the camp this year is $250.

You will receive a CareMonkey email from the college in the coming weeks. Please respond to that email to indicate whether your son or daughter will be attending the camp. This year, payment for the camp will be made online through TryBooking. Please follow the link below to arrange payment:
