ASSISTANT EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR
Emmaus College is a leading Catholic Co-educational Regional College in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne with a progressive, caring and dynamic learning community. We place a strong emphasis on focused and personalised learning for each student. We are team orientated and collaborative.

Emmaus has a wonderful opportunity for a passionate and experienced Educational Support Teacher, with a sound knowledge of current theory and practice in Special Education.

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE) position to start immediately with a no teaching load in 2017.  

For this role you will:

  • understand the academic and pastoral needs of students as these relate to their learning outcomes;
  • work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a range of people including teachers, educational support, students and parents;
  • have the ability to demonstrate professionalism and discretion at all times in relation to confidential matters;
  • be a reflective professional, engaged in ongoing development and research in relation to your practice;
  • be able to lead PSG meetings and complete funding applications; and
  • be adaptable in order to cater for a diverse range of student needs and disabilities.  

Successful applicants will hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
