Learning Area: Technology
Subject Description
In Year 10 Textiles students undertake the Investigation and Design process to enable them to successfully produce their product. Students are required to write a design brief, research extensively for the design options and justify why the design was chosen.
Students produce a range of products after completing the in depth tasks for investigating and designing.
In the Evaluation phase students reflect on the quality of their work, what they found easy or challenging and how they can improve. Included in the evaluation is the cost of production, processes used, equipment needed and samples of materials used.
